One Hundreds In The Air!

The World Series is going to take place in Los Angeles tonight and it just may be the hottest game ever recorded in World Series history. There is a chance at first pitch it may be 102! That is just crazy hot for an evening baseball game. Yet, one of the cool things is that this will be the first time that two 100-wins teams have met in the World Series since the 1970’s.  Both of these teams are very deserving whomever is crowned champion. All this talk of 100’s got me thinking. Are there any books in the Bible that have a chapter 100? You are in luck! The Book of Psalms contains a chapter 100. See Below.

Psalm 100

1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
3 Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
5 For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

Wow there is some great truths here to reflect upon. While there will be shouting and cheering at the first pitch tonight, the Lord loves it when we shout and sing to him. We are to go before him this way with gladness and fullness of heart. He is God and we are not. We should always be a people filled with thanksgiving and praise and the world should know it. He is still showing mercy today, while it is still called today. He wants to meet with you daily and be involved in the decisions in your life. Have you met with him today, this week? He loves to hear from you and spend time with you. This is why you were created. It was to have a personal relationship with him. While this hot weather will pass thankfully for these two teams, let us not pass up this chance to reflect on this beautiful Psalm and remember the God of the universe who spoke you into existence loves you and wants to spend today with you. Now that is something to cheer about it.
